Quicksilver is a keyboard application launcher but so much more. At it’s simplest, type <command> and <space> and the quicksilver window opens on the screen. Then start typing the first few letters of an application or document and up pops the file. Press return and it is launched. This has singlehandedly saved me from tendonitis in my right hand from using the trackpad. But it is so much more. I can start emails from inside quicksilver and do a lot more.

So… windows users who should be jealous. Colbri is a program for windows that begins to fill the gap by using the keyboard launcher. I’d love to be able to recommend this to windows users as a productivity enhancer.
