Strange behavior

Strangely, my trackpad is working fine again. I was afraid this might happen. You know how when you get sick, and then you finally get to the doctor, you’re afraid that your symptoms will disappear? Or when you need to take the car to the mechanic and suddenly it’s not doing that thing that it did before? That’s what I was afraid would happen with the trackpad. I’d get ready to take it to the fixit place and the problem would disappear. Sure enough.

We have a frustrated cat at the moment. I decided to move her and her kittens outside so I put them in a cat carrier for shelter and moved them to the back door. She promptly started carrying them up front. She’s tried to sneak one back in, but we got them back out. Sometimes she comes into the door by herself and then meows like crazy. I think she’s confused.

My daughters are on the road today back to our hometown to visit family and friends. I remember when I was 16 and I went on road trips with my friend Damon. In retrospect, I think our parents must have been crazy to let us go. But here I am doing the same thing. Perhaps parents all lose their minds when their children become teenagers. Makes sense since their children do too. :)

Today is all about finishing my sermon, planning for my future sermon series (I’m starting the book of Luke after I finish Ephesians) and Advent, and doing other planning.

Maybe this means “losing our minds” runs in the family. :)

Remember the old joke about insanity running in the family…you get it from your kids? It’s true, but there’s something else at work here. (It gets passed on from ‘step’ kids, too!)

I remember those road trips…and planning for some that never happened. Funny how life gets in the way.
