Trackpad woes

August 5th, 2005 · 3 Comments

TrackpadMy trackpad’s been freaking out. Fortunately, it is still under warranty. I’m probably going to take it in to get fixed next Monday. Can’t imagine living without my computer though. And need to back it up before I take it in. I should be doing this anyway, but since it will be going under the knife, I want to make sure all of my data and music is archived. Also, fortunately, I’ve added a bunch of keyboard utilities to my computer, so I’m able to navigate fairly well without the trackpad. Not completely, but enough to not go crazy when I don’t have the mouse plugged in.

    Under the knife? Why?

So, what are the perceived advantages of a Mac over a PC for the average computer user?

    Advantages:
    1. Stability. Crashes less.
    2. Cleaner, more intuitive user interface.
    3. No viruses or spyware. None. Don’t even need to run software to keep it out. More secure in the first place, and second, no one writes viruses or spyware for the Mac.
    4. When you upgrade to the newest operating system, your computer will be more efficient. On a PC, when you upgrade, your computer slows down.
4 1/2. Cooler. Watch any movie or TV show, and if they’re hip, whenever they show a computer, it’s a Mac.
