This cuddly friend is Morbo, newscaster on Futurama. I wanted to use a sound from the show for my “You’ve got mail” sound. I recently discovered a program called Audacity that allowed me to import an mp3, cut the extraneous parts, and then save it as a WAV. Pretty cool, and it’s free.
