I LOVE reading God's Word! But I remember a time (not too long ago) that I (thought) was too busy and it was something I did "when" I had time. Since I came from a denomination that didn't emphasize reading, OR bringing your Bible to church, or even encouraged, it wasn't as important. It wasn't until I was going through my divorce, that Christ became real to me, and He pulled me out of the miry clay! All those years, I was "going through the motions" of a Christian, but didn't know about the "relationship" part that God wanted with me. I had to make the decision of prioritizing my time with God, first thing in the morning. No Bible, no breakfast! I'm a morning person, so I love giving it to God! I go between my NIV Student Bible, to my Evidence Bible, to my Life Application Bible (which I'm now going through) and I love grabbing more "nuggets" that God shares to me. I'm looking forward to 2005, with our new church family and a chance to grow, and let Christ work through me! Jeff, you blessed the students you've touched through music...thanks for the years you dedicated to lives of our kids!

For me I had to make a decision that is was a priority, then set aside a specific time each day. I choose first thing in the morning, before the start of my day. A daily meditation book with bible verses and explanations can also be helpful to get started.
