PocketRSS

September 22nd, 2004 · No Comments

One of the programs I keep on my pocketpc is PocketRSS. This allows me to download newsfeeds from websites and read their content when I am offline. I am very pleased with the program. I had previously been using PocketFeed which was clunkier and didn’t as much compatibility with the various formats that websites are using to publish feeds these days.

I am campaigning for an additional feature though. Certain newsfeeds do not download completely because the website authors have chosen to use additional namespaces that are not currently supported by PocketRSS. It is my opinion that this is an essential feature for a future upgrade as it will allow me to view the entire post, rather then only a portion.

If you are considering buying PocketRSS I highly recommend it. But I also suggest that you email the publishers Happy Jack Road and ask them to include additional namespaces in their next update.
