What’s New

September 9th, 2004 · 1 Comment

I’m posting a little irregularly lately. Thought it was due an explanation

Today I finished the 2nd of week of my 8 week student teaching at Wilson Creek School. It’s been a lot of fun so far. Things are going to start cooking next week. Up until now, I’ve only taken over 2-3 classes. Next week I’ll be adding an additional 3 classes. And then begining the week after, I’ll be in complete charge for a full four weeks. I was initially pretty nervous about this time, but it’s really energized me.

I’m also taking my last class at Heritage University in fulfillment of my Teaching Certificate. So, all things being equal, this December, I will be an officially credentialed teacher.

Another recent development in my life is that I have an application in to be pastor of a congregation. If the congregation calls me and I agree, I have committed to start there in January. What an exciting and scary time. I’ve lived my whole life except for college and a one-year internship at a church in Ephrata. But it is an exciting turn for us if it develops.

I appreciate all your prayers and any insight you have to offer. I feel like we are in a good place in life right now… something we haven’t necessarily had for a long time.

Good to hear how things are going even though life is both an exciting and scary place. Nothing boring! It’s neat how you have some different career paths available to you that you didn’t have 2 years ago. Jeff, I know, by the grace of God, you’ve applied yourself conscientiously to get where you are today.
