Last sunday evening, our pastor asked the question, “What is God speaking to you.” The following response from someone there was as close to prophetic as I’ve heard in a long time, and so I thought it should be shared. Thank you to her for allowing me to post it here.

For several months now God has been telling me to re-focus my priorities so that I am only concentrating on being who He has called me to be. I think many times we see what He is doing in the lives of others and decide to try to have that be what He is doing in us too, because it is so cool; but
really I can only listen to and become what He is saying to me personally. I have to really guard my calling and remember what He has asked me to do and be. And at the same time that I can’t determine my priorities by what He is saying to others, I also don’t have the right to project on others the
work He is doing in me; instead, I need to let them hear His voice for them!
