Collaboration Tools

June 3rd, 2004 · No Comments

I recently changed the tagline of my blog focusing it a little tighter. One of the changes was the addition of “Collaboration Tools” as one of my themes. The internet has leveraged the computing skills of thousands of people into the creation of the Linux Operating system. Wikipedia has enlisted the aid of numerous contributors to create the online free encyclopedia. And The Trader’s Database has collected the concert recordings of a legion of tapers. However, this is one area where I have felt the Christian community has not tapped the potential. Here are some resources I’ve lately found that I think could help capture imagination of collaborative work done by the faith community. The first two are blogs, Many2Many and Nancy White’s weblog. The second is an email discussion group called Online Facilitation. And finally, also from Nancy White, the Online Community Toolkit. It’s good stuff… all of it. Expect to hear more from me on this topic.
